How to teach the countermovement on uneven bars

    description

Complete training for uneven bars on the bar change from low to high bar with a counter movement.

In the technical analysis, we'll show you, phase by phase, a description of the actions needed. We'll also focus on the strategies to put in place so that your gymnasts manage to swing once they catch the high bar.

You'll also find an analysis of the different types of counter movement. There are 3 major types of descent from handstand:

    • the descent through planche position with an arch
    • the descent through a dish position
    • the descent placing the feet on the bar one at a time.

Lastly, the final section of this video is dedicated to the counter movement passing through "Stalder" position below the bar.

In the segment on prerequisites, we bring you the 6 skills that you ideally want to master before beginning the skill progression.

Get advice on how best to prepare your gymnasts in order to avoid them having trouble putting and keeping their feet on the bar.

The final segment, on teaching methodology, gives you a complete set of exercises to be able to teach this skill.

This training is suitable for all coaches. Whether you are coaching beginners or high-performance gymnasts, you'll find a lot of ways to perfect your coaching.

    Happy learning!
